Visit Walnut Creek

Walnut Creek, California

Visit Walnut Creek is a destination marketing organization that promotes the city of Walnut Creek as a location for leisure, groups, sports, and business travel.

As the Marketing & Communications Manager for Visit Walnut Creek I spearheaded multiple projects to further promote Walnut Creek as a must-visit destination in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as did end-to-end organic social media management across the platforms of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Enjoy learning more about this work below!

  • Launched Walnut Creek’s First Ever Visitor’s Guide

Collaborated with a publishing partner to create Walnut Creek’s first ever visitor’s guide that launched in January 2023. This guide highlight’s Walnut Creek’s annual events, arts & culture, dining scene, trip itineraries, lodging information and more. You can view the visitor’s guide here. Additionally, physical copies of the guide are available at all Walnut Creek hotels, Oakland International Airport, and select California Welcome Centers.

  • Launched a unique do-it-yourself celebrating the city’s vibrant food & drinks scene

The Walnut Creek Cocktail Trail launched in June 2023. How the Walnut Creek Cocktail Trail works is that participants sign up for a mobile pass to track their location check-ins. When they visit locations on the trail and check in, they earn points that can be redeemed for free prizes that would be shipped directly to them. This trail was created as a way to highlight the city’s crafty cocktail scene to both visitors and locals alike. There are twelve participating businesses on the Walnut Creek Cocktail Trail. Learn more about the trail here.

  • Providing visitor’s with information and inspiration to guide their visit

Worked with Wander Maps to create an interactive map of Walnut Creek with a variety of categories - including food & drink, lodging, outdoor recreation, and more - to support visitor’s in creating their perfect itinerary of their must-visit spots while also helping them navigate around town. Check out the interactive map here. The map is also available via the Wander app for both iOS and Android.
