Brooks Running
Retail Sales Associate I & Retail Sales Associate II
February 2019 – April 2021
As a Retail Sales Associate (I &II), I assisted customers daily in the flagship store located beneath the corporate headquarters of Brooks Running located in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. While working with customers, I provided fitting and gait analysis services to help customers find the right running shoe for their needs and serve as a brand ambassador of Brooks and give each customer a Run Happy experience when visiting the flagship store. Additionally, I assisted with merchandising, stocking, and store maintenance.
As of September 2019, I took on the role of Retail Sales Associate II meaning that I now serve as the store’s sales lead. This position required me to serve as the manager-on-duty as needed, perform keyholder duties, merchandise the sales floor, serve as the Run Bra ambassador of the store, develop product training sessions and activities for the store's staff, and support store management with developing community events and social media content for the @brookstrailhead account.
Kendra Scott
Keyholder
October 2016 – February 2019
For over two years, I served in the role of Key Holder at the Kendra Scott location in Bellevue Square. This was the first (and still currently the only) Kendra Scott store located in the Pacific Northwest. The Bellevue Square store was the 50th store for the company to open and now there are over 90 stores nationwide. I began this role right as the store began and even helped set up the store prior to opening and was there when we opened the doors on our first day!
In this role, I promoted the Kendra Scott brand and shared the company’s story with customers daily while providing tailored customer service on the sales floor. Additionally, my responsibilities include supporting store management with inventory, visual merchandising, cash management, and maintenance. I also served as the store’s events lead, supporting our store community and events manager by coordinating scheduling for shopping parties, researching potential event partnerships, and producing monthly store event recaps. Another area of focus for me was leading the store in communicating corporate initiatives, promotions, and in-store events to the team. I did this by creating a weekly newsletter that included all of this information in an easy-to-read manner so any team member could easily reference and know what the store focuses were for the week and learn about new company-wide initiatives.
Etc.
Outside of work, I love exploring the outdoors and usually chasing adventures out at the beach or up in the mountains. I love hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding.
If you don’t see my outside, I am probably planning my next adventure or writing about my last one. You can read some of my hiking trip reports in Washington State here and follow along on my blog that covers a wide-range of activities and interests of mine.
Additionally, I love spending time with friends at a trivia night, starting my morning with a workout, browsing independent bookstores for hours to find my next read, traveling the world, volunteering within my community, going to baseball games, and keeping up with my cat’s shenanigans on Instagram.
